from the days of e-werk and tresor, through to the current staple clubs of berghain/panorama bar, weekend and watergate, berlin has the underground covered. and now... it's time for something new.
14th february 2009 will mark an important development on berlin’s nightclub landscape: dice.

the space
housed in an abandoned electricity station in the heart of mitte (english translation: centre), berlin, dice will combine a post-industrial aesthetic with state-of-the-art sound & lighting and cutting edge electronic sounds.

the vast 2000m2 space will have 3 main areas: the ground floor main room with 8m high ceilings, the spilt-level 2nd room that runs over 2 floors, and volt, the 600m2 3rd space housed on the top floor that will function as an independent space for concerts, gigs, corporate events, and occasional dice events. last but not least the large roof terrace will be a focal point over the summer months, perfect for after hours sunday sessions.

the equipment
the top-notch soundsystem installed in all rooms, corridors and spaces within the club has been specially designed, developed and tailor-made for dice by funktion one, and will be the most expensive pa ever built for a club by the audio experts. the lighting been designed by room division, whose previous work has lit up some of the best clubs and festivals in berlin, such as watergate, rechenzentrum & melt! festival.

the music
dice is working together with well-known booking agencies like clonk, wilde bookings and backroom entertainment, and artists/djs like president bongo (gusgus), aril brikha, luke solomon, simon baker, ralph lawson, dirt crew, aux 88, spirit catcher, gabriel ananda and daniel mehlhardt, who are confirmed to join the lineup in the first part of the year. alongside these top-billing names dice is also committed to working with the best up & coming talent to ensure a consistent lineup of the best local and international djs and live acts.

as for the music itself, friday nights at dice will feature eclectic sounds with label showcases, live acts, and collaborations with some of our favourite clubs from around the world. saturday nights will be the core dice club nights and will appeal to fans of main-room techno & house.

aside from the weekly programming expect some special parties & holidays events throughout the year.
